STATE OF THE MEAT MARKET Here is where we are at this point:
So far, our product inventory has been in pretty good shape with few items not available. We expect products to become scarcer in the next few weeks. Because of this, beef prices have gone through the roof. We expect pork and poultry prices to do
the same. Our cost on several items has more than doubled in price.
Usually this time of the year we produce our K-Bobs and Pinwheel steaks. Unfortunately, being so short on staff these items have been put on
hold. Also, we have reduced the varieties of sausages we normally offer.
With the uncertainties of returning staff, we are seeking to hire several positions to help us bring our service, production and regular operating hours back to our intended standards.
If you or if you know anyone seeking employment, send them our way to get an application. Positions are for customer service and sausage production. Requirements are minimum 18 years old, good physical condition, positive attitude, terminally happy
and available Saturdays and holiday weeks.
During these past weeks and weeks to come, all of us here at Hirsch’s realize that we are not able to be everything to everyone. We have all witnessed different levels of personal physical distancing and approach to how everyone manages their personal concerns.
With that being said, if anyone feels uncomfortable about patronizing us, we understand your seeking other sources for your
needs.
With a reduction in staff and an increase in customer volume, your patience, understanding and kind words are appreciated. Everyone at Hirsch’s is committed to keep our doors open and do the best we are able to provide you with the best products
and service we can.
