STATE OF THE MEAT MARKET

Things are looking up!

Even though information from our suppliers vary as far as availability, we have been able to maintain a good supply and variety of product.

We also received word that a new processing plant has opened and as soon as we are up to full staff and normal hours, we will be able to once again offer sides of beef for your freezers.

The biggest downside has been the increase in beef prices. We have been accused of price gouging on some items while the truth is our profit margins are at their lowest. We don’t want to scare people away with prices but we do want to keep our doors open. We are not going to cut corners on quality for the sake of a lower price.

We are currently hiring more staff and as soon as they are up to speed we will announce when we will get back to our normal hours.

The staff at Hirsch’s cannot thank enough all of those who have continued to support us
through this difficult time.

Russ, the knife sharpener, will be here weather permitting Saturday, May 30 from 10am to 3pm.  
Russ only accepts cash or personal checks.
